The Zippo collectible of 2022 proudly commemorates the fact that 90 years ago, an ingenious spark set a new global standard. Inspired by a friend’s bulky and unwieldy lighter, founder George G. Blaisdell set to work to develop an easy-to-use, windproof alternative. 90 years later, we celebrate the ingenuity of the original Zippo lighter with an equally timeless keepsake. We’ve pulled out all the stops for our collectible this year.
The classic windproof lighter receives our Armor® casing, is decorated with a first-ever combination of 360 MultiCut, 3D Deep Carve, Lustre Etch and laser engraving processes, and features a brand new red glitter epoxy inlay to commemorate the milestone. We chose to outline the case with a diamond pattern, alluding to a popular gift for 90th anniversaries and hinting at the sheer exclusivity of the piece.
The 2022 Collectible comes in high-gloss chrome, specially selected for the European edition. Each lighter is consecutively numbered, has an exclusive anniversary stamp on the base and comes in a luxurious gift box.
